¡Hola! Me llamo Muriel Therese Iliga. Tengo 26 años. Nací y crecí en las islas Filipinas donde el inglés es uno de los idiomas oficiales. Gradué de la Universidad Tecnológica de Cebu con una licenciatura de educación segundaria, especializada en Tecnología y Educación de Medios de Subsistencia (Technology and Livelihood Education). Soy una profesora cualificada aquí en las Islas Filipinas y estoy certificada en TESOL, TEFL, TEYL, y TESL. Llevo 7 años trabajando como profesora y 2 años dando clases de inglés online. Actualemente doy clases en un colegio publico a estudiantes de segundaria. Mi estilo de enseñar es muy dinámico. Mis clases siempre son divertidas, creativas e interesantes. Quiero que mis alumnos estén tranquilos, entonces hacemos muchas actividades de ESL. Enfoco en el vocabulario y pronunciación, ayudando a los alumnos mejorar sus habilidades de hablar y escuchar. En mis clases, no tienes que preocuparte para nada si te equivocas porque es todo parte del aprendizaje. Como estoy aprendiendo japones, entiendo lo que conlleva aprender un nuevo idioma.

Me encanta conectar con gente de otras culturas y la mayoría de mis alumnos son de Asia. Disfruto dar clases de verdad, y simplemente ver a alguien mejorar y triunfar en un área particular es más que gratificante, sobre todo cuando eres la persona detrás de esto. Me encanta ayudar a mis alumnos con su crecimiento personal y sus objetivos. Tengo muchas ganas de verte en mi clase. Espero que tengas muy buen día. ¡Adiós!

Hello! My name is Muriel Therese Iliga . I’m 26 years old. I was born and raised in the Philippines where English is an official language. I graduated from Cebu Technological University with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education major in Technology and Livelihood Education. I am a licensed teacher here in the Philippines and I am also TESOL, TEFL, TEYL, and TESL certified and have been teaching for almost 7 years now. I taught  English for 2 years and was an online English tutor at the same time. Currently, I am teaching in a public school handling junior high school students.

My teaching styles are very dynamic. My classes are always fun, creative, and interesting. I want my students to be relaxed so we do a lot of ESL activities. I specialize in vocabulary and pronunciation, helping students to improve their listening and speaking communication skills. In my class, you have nothing to worry about if you commit mistakes because that is part of learning. I am also learning the Japanese language. So, I know how it is to learn a new language.

I love to engage myself with people from other cultures. I love helping students with their personal growth and goals. I genuinely enjoy teaching and just seeing someone improve and succeed in a certain area is more than rewarding. Especially, when you are the person behind it and I believe that teaching is not just a profession but a mission. I look forward to seeing you in my class. Have a great day!
